Biography

Thank you for viewing my website. I understand that choosing a lawyer is a very important and stressful decision and I hope that you will put your trust in my team to guide you through this difficult time. To that end, please allow me to introduce myself.

I began my legal career working for a big law firm in New York City but quickly realized that defending big banks and corporations was not for me. After transitioning to a smaller law firm setting, I fought for the rights of "mom and pop" businesses and franchisees. At that time, I was involved in a nationwide class action lawsuit against one of the largest food franchises in the nation. This was an eye-opening experience. I witnessed firsthand the tragic financial ruin that folks suffered all over the country due to a powerful corporation's unfair business practices.

A few years later, I was involved in three nationwide consumer class action lawsuits accusing several banks of deceptively marketing payment protection products and other add-ons to its credit cards. Working alongside some of the most prominent class action lawyers in the country, we secured significant relief for thousands of consumers nationwide. Once again, consumer protection statutes and the class action device proved invaluable in leveling the playing field against these large corporations as they had limitless funds and were defended by the largest law firms in the world. After these rewarding experiences, I knew that I wanted to dedicate the rest of my career to helping other consumers in the uphill fight to be treated fairly by corporate America.

As part of my effort to help consumers and victims of corporate wrongdoing, I have served as lead counsel, co-lead counsel or on the executive committee in class actions filed from Florida to California. These class actions have involved consumer fraud, product defects, food mislabeling, false advertising, violations of wage and hour law as well as other state and federal consumer protection laws. In addition to these types of cases, I have successfully litigated numerous individual and class action cases involving abusive robocalls in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. I have litigated TCPA cases in courts all across the country and have successfully argued motions involving TCPA law related issues in district courts sitting in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 9th and 11th Circuits.

From 2013 through 2022, I have been selected by my peers as a New Jersey Super Lawyer. This prestigious recognition is reserved for no more than 5% of lawyers in New Jersey. I was also awarded a lead counsel rating in the legal discipline of Consumer Protection.

Before embarking on my career, I earned my J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. There, I had the honor of serving as an articles editor of the Brooklyn Law Review. While a member of the Brooklyn Law Review, I published a case comment entitled: An Attempt to Pick up the Fallen Bricks of the Wall Separating Church and State After Santa Fe v. Doe, 67 Brook. L. Rev. 1291 (2002). My article analyzed the Supreme Court's ruling that a Texas school district's policy permitting student-led, student-initiated prayer at football games violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Since publication, my comment has been cited by several authors of books and law review articles, including a law professor in the University of Pennsylvania Law School's Journal of Constitutional Law. Lastly, I was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and was awarded the Best Brief Award in a National Constitutional Law competition.

Please feel free to contact me via phone or email at any time. I hope you will put your trust in my team to help you navigate any legal issues that you may be facing.
